Colon Cancer
Any cancer malignant tumor growth is referred to colon cancer. For the average population small intestine cancer is rare, while colon cancer is one of the most common cancer-causing diseases. It however has good chance of recovery if it is detected early.
Celiacs who do not strictly stick to their gluten-free diets, however, the risk of developing a small bowel lymphoma of developing an otherwise rare and extremely aggressive form of cancer, is extremely increased. On the other hand, a consistently-observed gluten abstinence, reduces the risk almost back to the level of the general population.
